“Anxiety” a Light Lab Emotion Project

At Otterbein University I was able to take a course called Light Lab with Lighting Designer and Associate Professor TJ Gerckens. This course was all about exploring light and how it is involved in every aspect of theater. This project involved creating a lighting design about a particular emotion and I was given the emotion “Anxiety”. I decided to go with harsh red colors and a broken-up gobo to convey the pain and the feeling that everything is falling apart.
