Animal Mask Project

This project was for my Advanced Props Class at Otterbein University. For this project we had to choose an animal from the play The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. I chose the Minotaur for my mask and began with a sketch. I then made a model of the Minotaurs face out of clay and then I began to paper mache the face, I would paper mache the horns and the ears as well. I then attached everything together and then added the fur to the mask using Super 77 glue. I would then paint the rest of the areas of the mask and add a few accessories like ring for the nose. I hid the eye holes and added a strap to the back to wear the mask and there you have it, a Minotaur Mask!
